The price of gold in the local market has been reduced slightly.
The price of the highest quality gold, 22-carat, has been decreased by Tk1,773 per bhori (11.664 grams), now set at Tk1,38,498.
This information was announced on Saturday in a notice by Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus).
According to the notice, the new prices have been adjusted due to a drop in the price of refined gold in the local market. These new prices will take effect starting Sunday.
As per the revised rates:
- 22-carat gold: Reduced by Tk1,773 to Tk1,38,498 per bhori.
- 21-carat gold: Reduced by Tk1,703 to Tk1,32,200 per bhori.
- 18-carat gold: Reduced by Tk1,458 to Tk1,13,316 per bhori.
- Traditional method gold: Reduced by Tk1,237 to Tk93,020 per bhori.
