Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said retired members of various law enforcement agencies will be organized into a community police force to manage traffic.

He shared this information with journalists after a meeting of the Law and Order Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday.

Regarding the ban on battery-powered rickshaws, the adviser hoped that a favourable decision will come from the High Court, and the government will act accordingly.

On the issue of false and fabricated cases, he admitted their existence, saying: "We do not deny that false cases are being filed. Strict action will be taken against those responsible, and committees will be formed to address the grievances of victims."

Responding to another question, he said the government is not concerned about law and order as it is much better now compared to before."
