Former Awami League (AL) lawmaker from Jhalkathi Barrister M Shahjahan Omar, Bir Uttam has been sued with Rajapur police station under explosive act.
Advocate Talukder Abul Kalam Azad, president of Rajapur Upazila BNP filed the case Friday night accusing 150 people including Barrister Shahjahan Omar and 52 leaders and workers of Awami League, OC of Rajapur police station told BSS.
Abul Kalam Azad alleged that Shahjahan Omar and the other accused persons damaged the BNP Rajapur thana unit office, hurled bombs and finally set the office on fire on December 30, 2023.
Police arrested Shahjahan Omar Thursday last in connection with a case filed with Kathalia police station on the charge of damaging and setting fire to the BNP’s Kathalia upazila office.
