The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday, renamed three more medical colleges.
The renamed government medical colleges are Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College in Gopalganj, Bangabandhu Medical College in Sunamganj, and Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Habiganj.
A notification regarding this was issued by the Health Education Division.
Dr Md Sarwar Bari, Secretary of the Medical Education-1 Branch under the Health Education and Family Welfare Division, signed the notification, which said that the changes would take effect immediately.
The three institutions have been renamed based on their respective districts.
Earlier, on October 30, the ministry issued a notification renaming six other medical colleges.
With this latest update, the names of a total of nine medical colleges have been changed.
