The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank accounts of former MP AKM Bahuddin Bahar from Comilla and his daughter, former Comilla City Corporation Mayor Tahseen Bahar Suchona.
The BFIU issued a letter to all banks regarding this matter on Thursday.
The list of frozen bank accounts also includes Bahar's wife Meherunnessa, his daughters Ayman Bahar and Aziza Bahar, and Suchona's husband Saiful Alam Roni.
All relevant account information for these individuals has been requested to be sent to the BFIU within the next two days.
