Visa seekers have staged a demonstration by blocking the road at Gulshan-2 in the capital, resulting in heavy traffic congestion in the area and surrounding roads.

The protesters claim they have paid substantial amounts to BSB Global Network, with some individuals reporting payments of over Tk17 lakh.

They allege that despite promises to send them abroad for education, the agency is not providing visas.

On Monday, the protesters blocked the road at Gulshan-2 Circle, effectively halting traffic in the area.

This has led to significant congestion on various roads, particularly in Gulshan, Banani, and Badda.

Police and military forces are working to manage the situation.

Deputy Police Commissioner of the Gulshan Traffic Division, Tarek Mahmud, stated that a group of students is demonstrating in front of the BSB Global Network office, which specializes in foreign education consulting.

As a result, traffic has come to a standstill from Kakoli to New Bazar and from United Hospital to Gulshan-1.

He noted that efforts are underway to remove the protesters and restore traffic flow.

The protesters have insisted that they paid large sums to the agency, with some individuals reportedly paying over Tk17lakh each. They had been promised assistance in studying abroad, but now they are not receiving visas, and their money has not been refunded.
