BUFT donates 15.5L to chief adviser's fund

Donation handed over at ceremony held at Bangladesh Secretariat

The BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) has donated Tk15.5 lakh to the chief adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund of the Interim Government of Bangladesh to aid communities affected by recent floods.

The donation was handed over at a ceremony held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday.

BUFT’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, presented the pay-order to Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik, adviser of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

The ceremony was attended by senior BUFT officials, including Prof Md Muinuddin Khan, distinguished Professor & dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Md Rafiquzzaman, registrar, Mohammed Nazmul Hossain, CFO, and Mohammad Imtiaj, head of Public Relations.

Prof Khan emphasized BUFT’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and supporting those in need, especially during times of crisis.

The adviser of the Interim Government expressed gratitude for BUFT’s contribution and called on others to follow suit, urging the public to join in flood relief efforts.
