The Gausia Maizbhandaria Habibia Committee held an event on Monday on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
The current imam of Maizbhandar Sharif, Maulana Syed Habibul Bashar Maizbhandari, presided over the events and led a procession from Mirpur Maizhbhandar Khanka Sharif at noon.
Habibul Bashar Maizbhandari said: “We learned how to practice Islam from Hazrat Muhammad (SM)”
“He also taught us, how to befriend people regardless of their nationality, religion, or race,” he added.
“Nowadays we are experiencing divide among Muslims…Look how some people are attacking the Sufi Shrines (Mazars)”
He remarked these vandalisms were terrorist attacks.

He said that vandalists are doing this to divide the people and fearmongering. He condemned the attacks and requested law enforcement to bring these attackers under justice and restore peace.
Maulana Syed Mahtabul Bashar Maizbhandari said: “People who are against Eid-e-Miladunnabi are against Allah, Rasul, Quran, Sunnah and all Muslim Ummah”
“Prophet Muhammad (SM) is the prophet for all the creation,” he added.
He said: “People can have different viewpoints, we have to accept that. However, terrorism, violence, and mayhem is not supported by Allah, Rasul, Quran and Sunnah. Scholars of Muslim do not support it.”
Mahtabul Bashar Maizbhandari said that people who are vandalizing in the name of Islam, earning a bad reputation for the country. Besides, they are against the state and the order of the state.

He asked these people if their claims were valid, they should throw a debate on national television citing their sources for their claims.
He claimed that the dispute could be solved by discussing instead of looting and vandalizing. He wants to resolve the issue with the help of law instead of taking the law to his own hands.
The event concluded after the procession before Zuhr prayer with Salat-o-Salam (Milaad Sharif) and Akheri Munazat.
