Police recovered the body of an Armed Police Battalion (ABPn) officer stuffed inside a sack and thrown in a ditch in Dhamrai on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Kamrul Hasan, 23. He was working in APBn-1 in Dhaka
His wife, Nargis Akhter, was detained in this connection.
Police said Kamrul left home after receiving a call on his mobile phone in the early hours of August 14. He has been missing since then.
On Friday morning, his body was found floating in a pond near the house. Later, police recovered his body.
Nasir Uddin, sub-inspector of Dhamrai police station said the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
