The Cyber Crime Unit of Operations and Intelligence Branch of 3rd Armed Police Battalion (APBn) recovered 107 lost mobile phones and Tk 86,480 stolen through bKash fraud in June and returned them to their rightful owners.

The unit, which operates under the command of Additional DIG MM Salahuddin, carried out the recovery efforts under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police GM Abul Kalam Azad, PPM, and Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Ali Nawaz.

Acting on general diary (GD) reports filed with different police stations, the cyber team traced and recovered the mobile phones from various parts of the country. It also recovered funds lost in bKash-related scams and assisted in locating one victim.

At a handover ceremony on Sunday, the APBn commander presented the recovered phones and money to their owners, urging the public to cooperate with law enforcement to help more victims receive timely legal assistance.
