Litton Kumer Das, Bangladeshi opening batsman and wicket-keeper, has addressed recent rumors about attacks on his home in the wake of communal violence in Bangladesh through a Facebook post.
In his message, Litton urged citizens not to believe the rumors.
The post reads: "Dear countrymen, I would like to clarify with all due respect that the recent news about an attack on our house, reported by various media, is entirely false. Please do not pay attention to these rumors. My family and I are safe.
I believe our country is a secular nation. Our collective focus should be on moving forward together, regardless of religion or caste. The way the people of Dinajpur, and the entire country, have stood by each other is truly commendable, and I am deeply grateful. I hope we can continue to stand united and keep our country free from violence because this nation belongs to all of us."
