The general students of Jagannath University (JnU) have occupied the campus after driving Chhatra League leaders and activists out of campus.
The protesting students began gathering at the campus at 1: 30pm.
Then, they held an absentee funeral prayer and coffin procession for the victims of the movement.
However, no presence of the Chhatra League could be seen on the campus.
The students submitted a 6-point demand to the university administration.

Later, the students marched towards the university campus. There, they took a written notice from the hall provost to withdraw the order to vacate the student hall.
Earlier, the emergency syndicate of the university had ordered the students to leave the hall. Later, the students staged a sit-in in front of the administrative building of the university.
The students raised slogans against the university management and the administration.
Later, the protesting students submitted a memorandum to the collector.
Although there was no presence of the Chhatra League on the campus, the JnU Chhatra League and Jubo League men were seen in Victoria Park, Sadarghat, and Shakharibazar areas around the campus.
Meanwhile, some Chhatra League leaders and activists were chased away by the students of Jatiya Kabi Nazrul College in front of the campus.
Among them, three suspected Chhatra League activists were attacked by the students.
When asked about this, a protesting student of the history department of the university for the academic year 2022-23, said: "Since we were attacked yesterday (on Tuesday), we are asking if anyone is suspicious. Not everyone is being harassed.”
The six demands of the agitating students are- All forms of student politics should be banned on campus for life; student halls should be kept open and their safety should be ensured by safeguarding all the facilities; Those who are injured while participating in the struggle for this just demand of quota reform should bear the medical expenses; Action should be taken against teacher, student or employee who cooperates with any political party; ensure the safety of the students staying in the mess and prosecute the terrorists who attacked the mess and provide security to the students; Those who attacked in this movement and those who attacked the mess should be handed over to the administration and all kinds of legal assistance should be given to the protesting students.
