To confirm the matter, CCTV footage was sought by the hall administration. However, the administration informed journalists that there is no CCTV footage of that night.

They also claimed that the CCTV camera was off for four days due to a technical fault.

In this regard, Hall Provost Professor Nazmul Hasan Talukder said: "I was on leave. The Hall Warden was in charge of the provost. The CCTV cameras were not working from February 1-4 due to technical glitch. Later I fixed the CC camera again.”

JU Proctor Prof ASM Firoz Ul Hasan said: "On Sunday morning, Sohel (Chatra League president) told me that Mustafizur wanted to surrender to the police station. Later I told him that the police will arrest Mustafiz whether he surrenders or not."

Later, he claimed that he did not know anything in this regard.

The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League brought out a silent procession at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Tuesday to protest the rape that took place inside campus last Saturday.
