A conservancy worker of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was killed when an unidentified vehicle hit him in front of Rajdhani Super Market on Monday night.
The deceased was Md Jamal, 45, his son Sujon confirmed the matter.
Sujon said the incident took place at around 10pm when an unidentified vehicle hit his father from behind on his way home from work, leaving him critically injured.
“He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead upon arrival at 11pm,” he said.
Confirming the death, DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Bachhu Mia said the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
