The deadline for registering for Hajj under both public and private administration has been extended until December 31 due to the quota being unfilled.
The Religious Affairs Ministry issued a notice in this regard on Sunday.
Registration began on November 15 and was due to expire on Sunday. Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, will be performed on June 16 next year, subject to the appearance of the moon.
According to an agreement with Saudi Arabia, as many as 127,198 Muslims from Bangladesh, approximately 10,000 under government management and 117,000 under private management, can perform Hajj.
