At least four workers were injured after a chemical drum exploded in an under-construction building in Dhaka’s Agargaon area.
The accident took place around 9am on Monday.
The injured workers are Robin, 19, Rafiqul Islam, 24, Sarlal Das, 45, and Mozaffar, 26.
They have been taken to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Sardar Shafiqul Islam, a rescue worker, said: "An empty chemical drum was brought to store water. The workers were trying to cut the drum to get water, but it exploded and a fire took place.”
Resident doctor of Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Tariqul Islam said Robin has suffered 22% burn injuries, and Rafiqul 43%.
Sarlal and Mozaffar suffered minor burn injuries, he added.
