Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) has raised the gold price by Tk2,333 per bhori.
The new price has been set in view of the rise in the price of gold in the local market, the Bajus said in a press release on Wednesday.
The new price will come into effect from Thursday.
From now, 22-carat gold will cost Tk99,377 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk94,828, 18-carat Tk81,298, and gold of traditional method Tk67,768 respectively.
Though, the price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged.
On October 5, Bajus decreased the price of gold by Tk1,167 per bhori.
