US-Bangla Airlines has become the first private carrier of Bangladesh to get the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification for improving the airline's various operations, services and safety tools.
Argus Pros, one of the five audit firms worldwide designated by IATA, acted as the auditor for US-Bangla Airlines, the airlines said in a statement.
To receive the IOSA certificate, the airline had to take into consideration the progress of all the indicators of a total of eight disciplines -- flight operations, cabin safety, dispatch, maintenance, ground handling, cargo operations, security and organization.
The organization had to consider the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.
