Another Bangladeshi has been shot dead in the United States (US) just five days after a 23-year-old Bangladeshi man was shot at a gas station.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Abul Hashim, 42, a resident of Burichang upazila in Comilla.
The incident took place in the Casa Grande area near Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday morning.
US local police said Hashim owned a grocery store at Sunland Jean Road and West Concordia Drive in Casa Grande. On the day of the incident, some miscreants barged into the shop and then robbed and killed him.
Upon reaching the spot, the police discovered Hashim's body lying on the floor. Within a mere three hours of the incident, the authorities managed to detain a suspect.
Abul Hashim settled in Arizona with his wife and two children. All seven of his siblings live in the same city.
On July 18, Md Iajuddin Romim was shot dead by miscreants in Missouri state in the US.
It was primarily believed that the motive behind the crime was to rob the victim's car and cash.
Romim was the son of the late freedom fighter Samshuddin Ahmed and hailed from the Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong district. He was studying Computer Science at a local college and simultaneously working at a gas station.
