In the morning, a higher number of female voters were present compared to male voters at T&T Adarsha Girls School in the Mohakhali Wireless area of Dhaka-17 Constituency during the by-polls.
The balloting for the Dhaka-17 by-polls commenced at 8am on Monday and will continue until 4pm.
China Akhter, a voter from the Mohakhali Wireless area, expressed her joy in participating in the voting process.

Nur Jahan from the Gudam Basti area stated: "I have come to vote like I always do. It feels good." When asked about the preferred candidate, she mentioned that she would vote for someone who prioritizes public welfare.
The T&T Girls High School has four polling centres, with two designated for women voters and two for male voters.

Earlier, Rezaur Rahman, the presiding officer of Centre No 77, said, "We are ready and waiting for 8am. I am in charge of four booths, and there are four centres inside. Centre No 77 and 78 have a total of eight booths, with four booths each for women. Centre No 75 and 76 have a total of ten booths, with five booths each for men."
Md Kamruzzaman, the presiding officer of Centre No 78, mentioned that there are four booths primarily for women voters in their centre.

Shahriar Binte Rahman, the assistant presiding officer of Centre No 76, stated that they have five booths under their supervision, and the voter turnout in this area is higher compared to other areas. They hope for a significant turnout this time as well.
Kamruzzaman, the presiding officer of Centre No 75, mentioned that their centre primarily has five booths for male voters. Although the voting time has begun, there are currently no voters, but it is expected to increase gradually.
