Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the test run of Agargaon to Motijheel section of metro rail on Friday.
The minister inaugurated the test run from Agargaon station at around 4:38pm.
As part of this, a train was run on a trial basis on Wednesday night from Agargaon to Motijheel section of the metro rail to check whether the line is working properly.

This 21.26km long metro rail will reach Kamalapur from Uttara North in just 40 minutes with stops at 17 stations.
Metro train has 24 sets of six coaches. Each metro train has a maximum passenger carrying capacity of 2,308 and a capacity of 60,000 passengers per hour and 5000,000 passengers per day.
