Bangladesh Air Force chief returns from China

Chief of Air Staff made a courtesy call with General Li Shangfu, Chang Dingqiu

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan returned home on  Sunday after an official visit to China.

Shaikh Abdul Hannan left Dhaka for China on July 16 for an official visit along with spouse and four entourage on an invitation of China People's Liberation Army Air Force (CPLAAF), says an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) media release on Monday afternoon.

During the visit, Chief of Air Staff made a courtesy call with State Councillor and Defence Minister General Li Shangfu, and Air Force Commander General Chang Dingqiu and exchanged views on issues like training, modernization and exchange of technology between Air Forces of the two countries. 

Furthermore, they have expressed willingness to deliver K-8 aircraft and essential equipment or spares for the use of BAF within the shortest possible time.

Besides, Shaikh Abdul Hannan visited China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, Air Force Command College (AFCC) and Aviation University of PLAAF.

It is expected that the visit of the Chief of Air Staff will play a significant role in further strengthening the existing relationship between Bangladesh and China, says the release.
