Serajul Alam Khan’s namaz-e-janaza to be held at Baitul Mukarram Saturday

The JSD will observe a day of mourning on Saturday by hoisting a black flag

The namaz-e-janaza of Serajul Alam Khan, one of the greatest organizers of the Liberation War of Bangladesh, will be held at Baitul Mukarram at 10am on Saturday. 

Serajul Alam Khan's body will be brought to the south square of Baitul Mukarram Mosque at 8:30am and the namaz-e-janaza will take place at the same location at 10am.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Office Secretary Sajjad Hossain confirmed the matter on Friday afternoon.

The Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), founded by Serajul Alam Khan, will observe a day of mourning on Saturday in his honour. The party flag will be hoisted at half-mast at JSD's central office at 6am and a black flag will be hoisted. 

Serajul Alam Khan, one of the founders of Swadhin Bangla Biplobi Parishad alias Nucleus, was admitted to Samorita Hospital on Panthapath with respiratory issues and age-associated diseases on May 7. 

The politician was shifted to DMCH on May 20 on the advice of his doctors.

Serajul Alam Khan was born on January 6, 1941.

Also known as “Dada” or “Dadabhai," he is a political analyst, philosopher and writer.
