The body of content creator Karina Kaisar is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on Sunday afternoon, her family has confirmed.
According to family sources, her remains will be brought to Dhaka at 5:00pm on a US-Bangla Airlines flight.
Her father former national football team captain Kaisar Hamid confirmed the matter.
Her first namaz-e-janaza will be held at 7:00pm at Banani DOHS Jame Mosque, followed by a second at 8:00pm at Banani Darbar Sharif Mosque. A third and final janaza is scheduled for 10:00pm at the Central Shaheed Minar, where fans, colleagues, and well-wishers will be able to pay their last respects.
As per the family’s decision, a fourth janaza will take place after Fajr prayers at 7:00am on May 18 in Abdullahpur, Gazaria, Munshiganj. She will then be laid to rest at the family graveyard.
The family also expressed gratitude to US-Bangla Airlines for waiving the cargo fee for transporting her body.
Karina Kaisar passed away late Friday night at a hospital in Chennai, where she had been undergoing treatment. She had been suffering from liver-related complications and had travelled to India with family members for advanced medical care. Despite doctors’ efforts, she could not be saved.
Her untimely death has cast a pall of grief over the country’s entertainment, cultural, and sporting communities. Colleagues, celebrities, and admirers have taken to social media to mourn her passing and remember her contributions.
