Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with hail at isolated places, said a weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday morning.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Meanwhile, a severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshshi, Pabna, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia.
The second highest temperature of this season was recorded at 42.8°C in Ishwardi of Pabna and Chuadanga on Wednesday.
Earlier on Monday, 43°C temperature was recorded in Ishwardi. That was the record temperature in the history of Ishwardi and the highest temperature in this season of Bangladesh.
Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Rangpur divisions and the districts of Bogra, Naogaon, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Khulna, Satkhira, Barisal, Patuakhali and Bhola and it may continue.
Besides, the lowest temperature was recorded at 21.4°C in Sylhet.
Meanwhile, 16mm rainfall was recorded in Sylhet district.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Rain and thunder showers activity may increase in the next 72 hours, according to BMD's bulletin.
