A college student died after being hit by a train in Dhaka's Uttara early Sunday.
The deceased, Ahmed Sani Hanif, 18, was a student of Nawab Habibullah Model School and College.
Hanif died on the spot after being struck by the train while crossing the Azampur rail line, said Dhaka Railway police station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sanu Mong Marma.
The body was recovered and sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, he added.
Abul Bashar, the father of the deceased, said Hanif was walking along the Azampur railway line after Fajr prayer when he met with the tragic accident.
