Another victim of the Gulistan explosion that had occurred at a seven-storey building in the Siddikbazar area in Dhaka died on Sunday, taking the death toll to 25.
The deceased, Md Hasan, 32, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at 9:11am.
Around 12% of the surface area of his body was burnt in the blast, Resident Surgeon Dr SM Ayub Hossain told Dhaka Tribune.
Hasan had other injuries as well, the resident doctor added.
The explosion that occurred in a restaurant called Cafe Queen in the basement of the seven-storey building in Gulistan's Siddikbazar area on March 7 injured over 100 people.
