Two flights on Tuesday morning landed in Sylhet after being unable to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital due to dense fog.
The flights landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport between 7:30am and 8:30am.
Director Hafiz Ahmad of Sylhet airport said that two US Bengal flights from Kuala Lumpur and Sharjah arrived in Sylhet without being able to land in Dhaka due to fog.
Later, when the weather conditions became normal, both the planes returned to Dhaka at 10am.
According to Osmani Airport sources, a US Bangla Airlines flight with 103 passengers from Kuala Lumpur landed in Sylhet at 7:30am.
Another flight from Sharjah with 144 passengers landed at Sylhet instead of Dhaka at around 8:20am. Later, two flights left Sylhet for Dhaka by 10am.
