A cold wave is sweeping over six districts of the country — Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar, and Chuadanga — and it may persist in these areas, according to the Meteorological Department.

This information was provided in a weather forecast by meteorologist Dr Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the lowest temperature in the country on Saturday was recorded in Sreemangal at 8.5°C.

However, despite the low temperature, there was not much fog in the morning.

The Meteorological Department said that in the next 24 hours, the weather across the country is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies.

However, from late night to early morning, light to moderate fog may occur across the country.

Nighttime temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while daytime temperatures may decrease slightly, according to the Meteorological Department.
