The price of jet fuel has increased in Bangladesh after two months to reach Tk118, with Padma Oil Company, a subsidiary of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), raising it by Tk6 per litre.
The new price came into effect on Thursday.
Jet fuel price is reviewed every month, based on the average price in the international market, especially the Indian (Kolkata) jet fuel market.
It is the 18th time that Padma Oil Company Limited hiked the price of jet fuel in the last 27 months, according to media reports.
Air travel will become costlier due to the price increase, aviation industry insiders say.
