Fair Electronics achieve AEO certificate

Fair Electronics Limited achieved the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certificate. 

Chairman of Fair Electronics and Fair Group Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub received this certificate from NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Munim on an event of International Customs Day, according to a press release issued on Sunday. 

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was present virtually as the chief guest at the event organized on Thursday at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the capital. 

The special guest was the president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Jasim Uddin. 

Nine organizations including Fair Electronics were given the certificate of NBR's Directorate of Customs Evaluation and Internal Audit.

Organizations that get AEO (Authorized Economic Operate) certificate will get 10 types of benefits, including getting the imported products easily cleared from the port and taken to their own factories. They will have the opportunity to carry out manual inspection of consignments of goods at their own premises instead of customs houses or customs stations. Before the goods arrive at the port, customs clearance can be completed with the submission of bill of entry. 

In the fiscal year 2018-19, the highest VAT payer at the national level in the manufacturing sector, in the category of steel and engineering, the Ministry of Industry awarded the first place to Fair Electronics. As a successful entrepreneurial company in the category of high-tech industry, Fair Electronic received the President's Industrial Development Award along with fulfilling various conditions including running the business for at least five years and paying regular duties, VAT and income tax.
