Palak: Bangladesh to be a ‘smart one’ with farsighted leadership of PM

Digital Bangladesh has been founded with the robust leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, says Zunaid Ahmed Palak

Terming the women entrepreneurs as the auxiliary force for building ‘Smart Bangladesh', State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Sunday said the country will be built as  ‘smart one' under the brave and farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“We want to make a ‘smart Bangladesh' by educating the present generation with modern technology. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already given all the necessary directives by expressing her commitment for building a smart Bangladesh, he said adding that the Smart Bangladesh would be constructed by incorporating the women population with the development program equally.

The ICT state minister made this comment while distributing sewing machines among 100 women entrepreneurs with his own finance held at his residence at Singra upazila on Sunday morning.

Palak said the digital Bangladesh has been founded with the robust leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, adding, “People's lives are now very much gorgeous and comfortable. All the civic facilities are now available at the people's doorstep.”

Elaborating the development programs implemented by the present government, Palak said even the country has become prosperous one by expanding 100% electrification, health and education development programs.  

Even the country has become self-sufficient in agriculture through providing subsidy and incentives to the farmers, he told the function which was chaired by Upazila Awami League President Advocate Sheikh Wahidur Rahman.

Talking about the government's necessary steps for producing smart women entrepreneurs, the ruling party leader said “The government has taken a project titled ‘Her Power' at a cost of Taka 250 crore with the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and also planned by Swajib Wajed Joy, an architect of the digital Bangladesh.”
