The board of SAJIDA Foundation appointed Farooq Sobhan as chairperson of the governing body and Md Abdul Karim as its vice-chairperson.
The Annual General Meeting of the foundation took place on December 22, 2022, at its Dhaka office.
The new board was signed in with effect from the same date, according to a press release issued on Monday.
Sobhan is a former Bangladeshi diplomat with a distinguished career in civil service. He replaced outgoing chairperson Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury.
SAJIDA Foundation's new governing body comprises of prominent personalities from a wide cross-section of professions and disciplines, including, Farooq Sobhan, Chairperson, Md Abdul Karim, Vice Chairperson, Nihad Kabir, Member, Sara Zaker, Member, Rumana Dowla, Member, Jahan-Zeb Chowdhury, Member, Dr Erum Mariam, Member, Mohammed Bin Quasem, Member, and Mushtaq Kamal Mohiuddin, Member.
