A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Airport Road in the capital early Wednesday.
The deceased is Tanvir Sajjad Sourav, 32, son of late Md Mainul Islam, of Meherpur's Gangni upazila.
The accident took place in front of Bhalaka Bhaban when a truck hit the motorcycle rode by Tanvir along with his friend Nahiduzzaman from Mirpur 10 to Uttara around 12:30am, leaving him critically injured, said his uncle Shariful Islam.
Being rescued, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2:30am where doctors declared him dead.
Sub-inspector Jewel Miah said that they had heard about the accident. The truck could not be traced.
