Two police officers of the rank of additional deputy inspector general of police (DIG) have been given compulsory retirement.
The Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard signed by Senior Secretary Aminul Islam Khan on Monday.
The two police officials are Additional DIG of Tourist Police Mahbub Hakim and Additional DIG of CID Alamgir Alam.
The order will be effective immediately on public interest, the notification said.
On October 18, three superintendents of police (SPs) were sent on forced retirement.
On October 16, Information and Broadcasting Ministry Secretary Mokbul Hossain was sent to retirement one year before the end of his government service.
