Dry weather to continue across Bangladesh

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged

Light rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over the Chittagong division and weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over Bangladesh.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a weather forecast for the next 24 hours commencing at 9am on Monday.

Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the Northern part of Bangladesh. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of South-west monsoon from the remaining part of Bangladesh. The monsoon is weak over North Bay.

Bangladesh’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.1°C at Sylhet and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 20.9°C at Tetulia.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am on Monday was recorded by 4 millimeters (mm) at Rangamati.

The sun will set at 5:31pm on Monday, and will rise at 5:57am on Tuesday in the capital.
