Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that no one will be allowed to enter Bangladesh illegally through the border.

“Whether it is the Arakan Army, Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) or even separatists, they will not be allowed to enter. This is our clear message,” he said.

He made the remark while responding to media queries after the concluding parade of the 98th recruit batch of young soldiers at the parade ground of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Training Centre and College at Baitul Izzat area in Satkania upazila of Chittagong on Thursday.

“Myanmar can fight in their territory, but they will not infiltrate our country,” he added.

Responding to a question from reporters about the fresh Rohingya influx, the home minister said: "We are not inviting anyone. Let them fight inside their borders, but we will not allow them to enter our borders, this is our clear message.”

The home minister said the incidents in Myanmar are its own internal matter.

“Various separatists, including the Arakan Army, are fighting there. We have heard that Myanmar is at war with the Arakan Army and it has nothing to do with our country,” he added.

He lastly said that the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) is working day and night for Bangladesh to keep others from entering through the border.
