Customs officials on Monday found 10 gold bars worth Tk1 crore inside a waste trolley on a Bangladesh Biman flight in Sylhet airport.
Customs House Revenue Officer Najasi Parvez said they were informed that a person was carrying gold on a Bangladesh-bound Biman flight at Osmani International Airport.
“We searched the passengers but did not find anything. But when they got off the plane, we scanned the waste trolleys and found the gold bars,” he added.
As of yet, no arrests have been made in this regard.
