TCB products to resume sale in Chittagong from June 22

A total of 5,35,000 families will get TCB’s daily essential items through their family cards

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will resume the sale of essential commodities at a lower rate from June 22 in Chittagong.

Under the program, 5,35,000 families in Chittagong will get TCB’s daily essential items through their family cards, which will continue till July 5.

According to the state-run agency TCB, per kilogram sugar will be sold at Tk55, lentil pulses at Tk65 and soybean oil at Tk110 per litre.

TCB Chittagong Regional Head Jamal Uddin Ahmed said: "In greater Chittagong--Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari,more than 8,00,000 families will get TCB’s fair price products."

The government decided to sell the TCB products to the ward-based cardholders through the dealers, he added.
