Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in many parts of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Sunday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A trough of low persists over Gangetic West Bengal. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
The mercury on Sunday reached 36℃ – the highest – in Rajshahi, while the minimum temperature was 22.3℃ in Rajarhat of Kurigram.
The Met Office recorded 74 mm rainfall – the highest – in Netrakona.
