Police have recovered the body of a teenager from Masterpool area under Bakalia police station in Chittagong.
The body was identified as Jayanti Das, 14, daughter of Swapan Das of Bakalia.
She was a tenth-grader at Bakalia Adarsh Balika High School.
According to police, the body was recovered around 12:30pm on Thursday from the fourth-floor of a building in the area.
Officer-in-Charge of Bakalia police Rashedul Haque said that they found the girl unconscious and sent her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared her dead.
Jayanti's family said that she might have committed suicide by taking poison.
