A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Presidency University and Faction Holdings Corporation, aimed to promote collaborative programs and research projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart city technologies.
The signing ceremony took place at 10am on Sunday at the Presidency University campus, reads a press release.
The university's acting vice-chancellor Prof Mohammed Muniruzzaman and Faction Holdings Corporation director Max Garza III signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
This collaboration will allow Presidency University and Faction Holdings Corporation to jointly organize various programs and research projects revolving around AI and smart cities.
CourtesyThe Faction Holdings Corporation will also provide exclusive opportunities for internships and employment to Presidency University students as required.
Other notable attendees at the ceremony included the Faculty of Engineer Dean Prof Abul Lais MS Haque, Advisor Brigadier General (Retd) Md Anisur Rahman, various department heads and senior officials.
Representing Faction Holdings Corporation was Director Max Garza III, Dhaka office Senior Adviser Dr Bikarna Kumar Ghosh and Asian Tiger Capital Partner Mr Amjad Suleman, among others.
Through this agreement, students and faculty of Presidency University will jointly organize research projects, workshops, and seminars on various aspects of Artificial Intelligence and smart city technologies.
This partnership is set to bring immense opportunities and advancements in the respective fields.
