Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday predicted Bangladesh's gross domestic product (GDP) growth at 7.5%.
“On the whole, we expect to return to higher growth trajectory and achieve a 7.5% GDP growth in the coming fiscal year, by way of investing in the productive sectors and stimulating productivity and domestic demand,” he said in his speech at the parliament.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday unveiled a Tk7,61,785 crore proposed national budget for the 2023–24 fiscal year in the national parliament.
He started reading out the budget at parliament on Thursday.
The proposed budget will be 15.2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
