Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at different parts of Bangladesh in 24 hours as of 9am on Tuesday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met Office bulletin issued on Monday.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.5°C in Rajshahi and Monday’s minimum temperature at 25.0°C jointly in Netrokona and Rangamati.
The highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6am on Monday was recorded 21mm in Khepupara.
The sun will set at 6:50pm on Monday and rise at 5:16am on Tuesday in the capital.
