The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in all divisions, including Dhaka, for the 24 hours commencing 9am on Thursday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office update.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country, according to the BMD.
The highest temperature, 36.2°C, was recorded in Khulna in the 24 hours till 6pm on Thursday, while the lowest, 19.5°C, was recorded in Syedpur, Nilphamari, till 6am on Friday.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while the seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
