The joint forces detained four UPDF members after raiding Dighinala upazila in Khagrachhari.
They were arrested from Banchhara area of the upazila around 4am on Wednesday.
Police have recovered two foreign pistols, 40 rounds of bullets, 10 mobile phones, seven receipt books, and a total of Tk5.74 lakh, from the detainees.
The detainees are Purna Jibon Chakma, Samar Bikash Chakma (Bhala), Prottoy Chakma (Preeti), and Bidhu Bhushan Chakma.
All of them are local extortionists of UPDF, according to law enforcement sources.
Dighinala police station OC Uttam Chandra Deb said the detainees were produced in court after arms and extortion cases were filed against them.
