Chief of Bangladesh Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed is set to return from his official visit to the US on February 12.
The army chief left for the US at the invitation of his American counterpart on January 29, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
During the trip, General Aziz Ahmed visited several US military installations and training facilities. He also participated in discussions at the Office of the Secretary of Defence for Policy South and Southeast Asia on regional defence and mutual military cooperation between the two countries, the press release said.

The US trip will play an important role in increasing the number of Bangladeshi members in UN peacekeeping missions, conducting various peacekeeping missions in a fair manner, and increasing Bangladesh's delegacy at the policy-making level, the release added.
