Former lawmaker Abdul Majid Mandal passed away on Thursday.
The 72-year-old was an Awami League leader and a member of parliament from Sirajganj 5 constituency.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Majid.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
