The doctors, who conducted the autopsy of Highway Police (Savar zone) Assistant Superintendent Mizanur Rahman Talukdar, have said several injury marks have been found on his body.
The autopsy of ASP Mizanur was completed Thursday morning.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital's Forensic Department Lecturer Dr Pradip Kumar Bishwash said: "The post-mortem was completed around 8:10am. We found several injury marks on the victim's body.
“We have also preserved the viscera."
ASP Mizanur’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at Rajarbag Police Line around 10:30am.

His younger brother Masum Talukdar said: “The second namaz-e-janaza will be held in Ashkona while the third will be held at our village home Ghatail in Tangail.”
Later, he will be buried in their family graveyard.
Mizanur’s body was found dumped near Birulia Bridge on the bank of the Turag River near Rupnagar in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Wednesday.
