Bangladesh lands six awards in WITSA 2020

Bangladesh was also announced as the next host of the prestigious event

As many as six Bangladeshi initiatives have received awards at the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) 2020.

The event, popularly dubbed as the technology Olympics in the region, was hosted in conjunction with the "Road to WCIT Malaysia" at World Congress of IT (WCIT) on November 19, 2020.

The Bangladeshi initiatives, bagging four runners-up awards and two merit awards, received their honors for their contribution to improving the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh through the use of information technology.

The Bangladeshi award winners are: Nagad in the category of "Digital Opportunity and Inclusion," iDEA Project of A2i in “'Public-Private Partnership,” Mysoft's My Health BD, Virtual Hospital of Bangladesh, in innovative e-health solutions, Bijoy Digital in "e-Education and learning," Divine IT's Prism ERP in "Sustainable Growth," and a joint venture between Synesis IT Limited and ICT Division in the category of “Covid-19 Tech Solutions for Cities and Localities”.

Bangladesh was also announced as the next host of the prestigious event, to be held from November 11 to November 14 in 2021.
